“I am proud of my knitting skills, and that I can work so quickly,” Meena says ending her sentence with a shy smile. We can’t help but be blown away by the courage demonstrated through that little gesture. Despite all of the hardships that she and the other master knitters face, Meena remains positive. She is fighting to fulfill her children’s dreams—for her daughter to become a nurse and for her son to become a pilot. When we see Meena’s initials on our gloves we think about those dreams coming true.
