Nadzhida has spent her life deep in the Tajik mountains, where the village road is accessible for only half the year. Life in this remote region is always challenging and often cold, but Nadzhida has a weapon against all of that -- her cheerful and oh-so-warm Jurab stockings. There is a lot of history stitched into these stocking, experts believe that it is the earliest example of crochet anywhere in the world. And Nadzhida is the Jurab expert, which makes her happy. "My craft is the only things that brings me a good mood," she says.
