Seden grew up in a family where her eight siblings would compete against each other regarding their knowledge of Turkish art. Kilim-weaving is a long-standing family tradition, yet it is also an expression of her personal freedom: She feels most free when she is completely engaged with her craft, and she cherishes the solace that accompanies the busy ‘clicks’ of her wooden loom.
