Luangwa is a tiny village on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zambia. It is there that Raphael weaves his baskets. Each season the women of the village pick the reeds and prepare them to be worked by Raphael’s hands. Zambians like these baskets because they carry a lot and rest easily on the head, Stephane likes them because they make a striking addition to his fireplace mantle.
